ECCHR CONFERENCE ON RENDITION, 2007 (BERLIN, GERMANY)
In this public conference, organized by ECCHR in collaboration with
Amnesty International, Germany and the Republican Lawyers Association
(RAV) , lawyers and activists will discuss violations of legal
standards and human rights in the “War on Terror”.

ECCHR PRACTITIONERS WORKSHOP ON RENDITION, 2007 (BERLIN, GERMANY)
In the first week of October 2007 the European Center for
Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) organized a practitioners´
workshop on CIA-rendition flights and torture in Berlin. The two day
workshop took place in the Staatsratsgebäude (former building of the
GDR State Council). Nowadays it accommodates the Hertie School of
Governance which hosted the meeting of 25 practitioners from more than
10 countries.

ECCHR RENDITION CONFERENCE, 2007 (WARSAW, POLAND)
In the discussion about extraordinary renditions of suspected
terrorists throughout Europe, carried out by the CIA and the secret
detention of those persons, Poland comes up in a lot of ways. Poland is
accused not only of having permitted CIA flights to use Polish
airports; moreover there is a strong suspicion that on Polish soil
there was a secret detention and interrogation prison.
This public meeting will bring together, for the first time, lawyers
and other practitioners from these countries with experienced
international lawyers, including several who are working on rendition
cases, in order to explore strategies for exposing wrongdoing by these
governments and holding them accountable.
